November 2015 Monthly Wrap-up

The Month in Review is hosted by Kathryn at the Book Date.

It is just like me to pick November as the month to start my blog! This has been, by far, the worst month in terms of reading.  As a wife and mother of two, I don’t get to read as much as I want but I normally find the time to read my fair share. This month I failed miserably!

As I started to think about this post and how I would make my month look and sound so much better…. I had to stop and accept what my month really was. It was hard. I look at the bloggers I admire and I long for the days when I could spend the majority of my time reading. My life was that way once upon a time but I have to remember that as time moves forward, things change. So I am pledging to just enjoy my blogger friends instead of judging myself to them. It’s really the only way, don’t you agree?

Without further ado, here is my November month in review…

  1. It takes time to get into blogging and when you have two children – that is your main focus. I have a niece who has her hands full with two – I totally adore them – but can see how she doesn’t get too much time for herself. Anyway enjoy them, they grow up so quick.
There will come a time again when you get more time to read, and anyway you’re doing okay with your reading and blogging.

  2. Hi Keri – Best wishes for your new blog. I usually read only 1,2 or 3 books per month. Nowhere near what many of my blogging friends read. However, I still enjoy reading and blogging and sharing my thoughts about books I read. Have a great December.

  3. Hi Keri! I too started blogging this month (first post was actually up Oct 31). I think the act of getting used to blogging affected my reading some. Once I actually started blogging, I had the thought “Man, I read too slow to blog.” In order to post reviews I actually have to read the books and When it takes 2 weeks to read a book, that mean I’ll only post a review every 2 weeks. I’ve read plenty books before starting the blog. But my reviews for these aren’t as blog-worthy as I’d like. I’ve decided to post some of them and fill in with meme posts and other things I can find.

On the other hand, I’ve finished as many books in December as I read in November. Good luck!

    • Good luck to you on your blogging adventure! It does seem daunting at first but I have decided that I will read and review as it comes and do the memes as well. 🙂 Good job on December so far!!
